NEW MUSIC: “Heartbreak Radio” coming June 11
You know those heartbreaking country songs we all know and love? The ones that when you change the dial to the country station, it’s “my dog died, my wife left me and my truck broke down?”
Americana singer/songwriter Casey Ahern pays ode to this on her upcoming single “Heartbreak Radio,” a track about her lifelong passion for country music and the way it has “taught me to love, to hurt” and find comfort in its minor chords and often sad lyrics. The song is releasing June 11, 2021.
“Heartbreak Radio” was recorded at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville with a powerhouse ensemble of veteran Music City musicians – guitarists Tim Gallo-way (Josh Turner, Luke Bryan) and Kris Donegan (Brett Eldredge, Shania Twain), bassist Lee Hendricks (Eric Church), keyboardist David Dorn (Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini), drummer Matt King (Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne), two-time Grammy nominated violinist Eamon McLoughlin (Rodney Crowell, The Band Perry) and background vocalist Kaci Bolls (recorded demos cut by Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans). The song was produced by the veteran production team of Nathan Meckel and Mark Niemiec, collectively known as The Buzz Brothers.
