NEW MUSIC: “Bradley” is out now!
Casey Ahern hits the ground running in 2021 with her latest single “Bradley” – a soulful, heartfelt pop-country ballad that allows her to share her best kept secret.
Recorded and produced at Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios by the veteran production team of Nathan Meckel and Mark Niemiec, collectively known as The Buzz Brothers, the track features a powerhouse ensemble of Music City musicians – guitarists Tim Galloway (Josh Turner, Luke Bryan) and Kris Donegan (Brett Eldredge, Shania Twain), bassist Lee Hendricks (Eric Church), keyboardist David Dorn (Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini) and drummer Matt King (Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne).
With lines like “The only one I love/When I’m in your arms, I don’t have to run” and “I can taste the wine on your lips…and your voice rings like the mission bells on Sunday,” “Bradley” sounds like a beautiful romantic reflection on a special person in Casey’s life. But like her clever trademark 2018 song “He Was Summer,” it’s really about a magical real-life place in her heart – her family’s ranch in Central California, where she can run to when life and her career commitments get too crazy. During normal times, the singer who spilts her time between Nashville and Los Angeles, would head up there every few months, but during the pandemic, she has retreated there nearly every weekend.
“Bradley is a personal song to me, but I think everyone has some sort of Bradley in their life – a comforting person, place or hobby that allows them to get away from their troubles, for at least a little while, and embrace something they truly love.”
